Three Cases of Herpes Zoster with Varicelliform Eruption

Abstract
Herpes zoster is an acute vesiculobullous eruptions usually in an unilateral dermatomal distribution caused by varicella - zoster virus. In about 3 - 4 % of herpes zoster patients discrete discrete vesicles appear in a generalized distribution, a few days after the initial eruption (generalized herpes zoster or zoster varicellosus).
We observed 3 cases of herpes zoster with varicelliform eruption. Case 1 was 27 year- old male, case 2 was 8 year- old female and case 3 was 10 year-old girl. About 5-7 day after the initial herpes zoster eruption, generalized varicelliform skin lesions were appeared. Any malignancy or immunological defects were not found.
They were treated with analgesics, corticosteroid, antibiotics and supportive measures. Scar formation developed in case 2 and 3.
